About Us

Why work for FCC

Thank you for considering a career at FCC Environment.

You're about to discover why there's never been a better time to join us...
By 2020 we need to have reduced the amount of waste going into landfill to 35% of 1995 quantities. The profile of the UK's waste management industry has never been higher, the pressures on local authorities and the economy to reduce waste and maximise re-use and recovery have never been greater. We need people who are up for the challenge. We need people with ideas.

Do you share our vision?

Your Development

We believe it is important that you integrate into our business and become as effective as possible within a reasonable timescale. Both you and your line manager are responsible for making sure you complete your induction programme.

The purpose of induction training is to:

  • Check that essential information and documentation has been exchanged.
  • Introduce you to the Group, the location where you work, your employees and your work environment.

The Training Department will contact you within the first few days of your employment to let you know what you need to do.

Training and development

We recognise that our greatest asset in achieving the Group’s business objectives are our employees. We are therefore fully committed to ensuring everyone has the skills and knowledge to do their jobs effectively and are encouraged to work to their full potential. This will be achieved by a structured training and development policy, which will be regularly evaluated to assess its effectiveness and performance against our strategic objectives.
